Jason Bateman's reaction to winning an Emmy is going viral: Watch the slow-mo clip

Behold, the face of a man who bested "Game of Thrones."

Jason Bateman was up against stiff competition Sunday night for Directing for a Drama Series, and his deadpan reaction to winning the Emmy says it all: The guy was so floored, he barely registered what was even happening.

A slow-motion clip of the moment quickly went viral: "Greatest reaction ever to winning an award," one Twitter user captioned it.

As Bateman's named was announced, his co-stars' jaws dropped and they immediately jumped to their feet. Bateman's wife's eyes popped wide open, and an ecstatic Laura Linney grabbed his shoulders. As for Bateman himself? He raised his eyebrows.

After a brief moment of simply staring straight forward, the "Ozark" actor and director turned to his wife, smiled a bit and said "Wow."

Bateman's win came at the expense of the directors of "Game of Thrones," "The Handmaid's Tale," "Killing Eve" and "Succession."

In addition to being genuinely shocked, some fans speculated that the star was burning out on the 3-hour broadcast: "He was so ready to go home and hit the sack," one commented.
